Bartholomäus Wloka MSc. BSc. is a research and teaching assistant at the Centre for Translation Studies, University of Vienna. He has completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of South Alabama, Mobile, USA, his Master of Science Degree at the University of Freiburg, Germany, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Japanese, and he currently works on his Doctoral Dissertation at the Centre for Translation Studies entitled: "Automated Creation of Domain Specific Parallel Corpora for Machine Translation and Text Mining". His research interests include machine translation, computational linguistics, natural language processing, computer-assisted language learning, information retrieval, machine learning and digital humanities. He is currently invovled in the Language Technology Observatory project, and is coordinating a project cluster of the "special research area - German in Austria" at the University of Vienna.
