Steven Krauwer studied mathematics and linguistics in Utrecht and Copenhagen. He has been working as a lecturer and researcher in mathematical and computational linguistics at the Linguistics Department of Utrecht University since 1972. He has participated in EU projects in the areas of language technology, language resources and research infrastructures since 1980. Since 2012 he is the Executive Director of CLARIN ERIC, the Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure for the Humanities and Social Sciences.
